A fine quality and rare early carriage clock. A gilded case of rococo design with floral chasing. A large glass top aperture to the 'one-piece' case. An enamel dial with Trefoil blued steel hands. An 8-day duration mechanism striking the 1/2 hours and hours on a bell. Signed to the dial and mechanism 'Henry et co. Paris'. A rare original helical hairspring escapement. Circa 1845.

Henry of Paris is recorded as working at Rue du Cherche-Midi in 1850 in Tardy's 'Horologers Francais' book.
