Rare Chinese Antique Tibetan Sword 18th century

Tibetan straight back sword beautifully decorated in silver with genuine coral, 18th century. Well hand-forged blade is made of folded steel and is showing the forging lines. Single edged blade is solid and heavy. The sword is with silver fittings, leather wrapped handle and leather scabbard, all in original and good condition. Length of the entire sword with the scabbard: 21 ¼ inches. Length of blade: 14 ½ inches. Reference: Sothebys catalog "Islamic and Indian Art sale London 11th October -1991" (lot 482) listed for GBP Pounds 1,200-1,500.
