A Very Rare Form Of Spoon Warmer Made By Elkington & Co., One Of The The Premier Silversmiths Of The 19th Century, And The Inventor Of Silver Plating. The Cannon Mouth Acts As The Spoon Holder, And The Hot Water Is Poured Into The Tap On Top, Which Unlike Other Spoon Warmers, Fills The Outer Shell Of The Cannon To Keep The Gravy Spoon Hot And Dry. As We All Know The Idea Of The Spoon Warmer Was So That One Need Not Put A Cold Gravy Spoon Into Hot Gravy, Thereby Keeping The Gravy Hot.
