This fine casting in white metal with cold painting depicts the Arab cavalier after the original by Emile Coriolan Hippolyte Guillemin (1841-1907) and Alfred Barye (1839-1882).  Inscribed with the signatures E Guillemin and Bary fils, with hallmark of the Paris foundry, Fabrication Francaise, dating the piece to sometime after 1892.  Measures: 32 x 24 x 12; 81 x 61 x 30 cm.  This firm is known for their finely cast and patinated reproductions of important French sculpture of the nineteenth century.
