Quimper Grand Maison, Octagon Plate, Bretonne Woman, Soleil Yellow
Quimper is a town in northwestern France in the area known as Brittany; Quimper art Pottery has been an active part of pottery production since the it was part of the Roman Empire has been in existence since the Roman days, each piece is hand painted and very unique, they are then signed by the artist and some are marked with letters and numbers. The Quimper Pieces are highly sought after today, especially the vintage pieces; they make great collectibles and unique gifts.
This Quimper 10” Octagon Plate features the Soleil yellow pattern with the traditional colors, blue, green, and orange, it features the Bretonne (Woman) wearing a bonnet and apron standing in the center on the green with flowers in hand with trees on the side, surrounded with colorful floral borders and accents. It is signed HB Quimper France, with Hallmark from 1968-1983. This is a great collectible for those Quimper lovers out there in very good shape.
Condition: Good, Free of any chips, cracks or repairs.
