Looking for an older top to quilt? this top has an overall appearance of "snowballs" or white centers among the patches. Looking closer, you will find it is the "bow tie" pattern and they are all set together to give you the "snowball" look. Quite clever out of this quilt top maker! It is hand-pieced, is of all cotton, has been washed, and measures 72 inches x 72 inches. Patches date to the 1930's and early 40's and consist of dress fabric, one really neat old child's fabric, shirts, aprons, and accents of solid cottons. If this top could only talk, it would tell a tale of years ago!
