For Sale is a Beautiful Gold Aurene Salt made by The Quezal Art Glass and Decorating Company of Maspeth (Queens), New York. The Gold Aurene Salt displays strong hues of Fuchsia on the outside and Rich Platinum Blues on the inside. The Salt has a very nice rolled top edge. It has 16 well defined Ribs running vertically. Quezal Salts are considered much Rarer than their Contemporary Counterpart of the day, LCT Tiffany Favrile. You always see the Tiffany Studios Salts on !! You almost never see the Quezal Ones. This piece has a counter sunk polished pontil. The mark of Quality Art Glass. The piece is unsigned but I will guarantee this to be an Original Quezal Salt or your money back including shipping both ways. I just recently sold a Gold Aurene Bell Fitter 2 1/4" Art Glass Shade. The shade had the exact ribbing and shape as this salt. The Shade was signed Quezal on the inside fitter collar. The salt is considered to be in excellent condition as there are no excuses to be made for this beautiful little gem. The Quezal Art Glass and Decorating Co was in business from 1902-1924.
