Mahogany Queen Anne pie crust tilt top table having single board top with pie crust edge resting on a bird cage mount on top of a ring turned baluster base ending in nicely formed cabriole leg. The top appears to have been removed and replaced as evidenced by the extra screw hole on one of the braces. However, the top and bottom are original to each other as evidenced by the markings where the top of the base meets to bottom of the bird cage. Exceptional and graceful, this period Queen Anne table is likely Massachusetts in origin and dates to the mid 18th century. Measuring 29 1/2" in diameter by 27" high (43 1/4" high when open).
