This is a RARE 1930's Pyrene Fire Extinguisher figural ashtray. Made by the Pyrene MFG. Co. in Newark, New Jersey. The ashtray has three rests, with the figure of the fire extinguisher in the middle. The brass plate on the extinguisher reads "Pyrene Fire Extinguisher-KILLS FIRE-SAVES LIVES". Condition is good++ with mild surface scratches and paint loss due to use. No dents or dings. Brass plate will shine with a little polish, left as is , the new owner can decide if it should be polished. This is a great advertising piece, made in the era when things were ment to last.
