This is a really great vintage 1930's to 1940's planter. I really believe this dates from the 30's, the size and colors used and the style of painting make me think this, as well as the subject. It is an "Arabian Nights" figural. I suppose it is supposed to be a planter, although the pot the fellow is holding will not hold much! It has some what looks like "mildew"? under the glaze on his left leg. You can see this in the last pic. There is what looks like could be a chip on the inside lip of the jar, but it also looks like it could be under the glaze as well. It is approx. 6" tall and 4 tp 4 1/2" wide.
