A wonderful pair of lidded dishes with thier original foil tags from Lipper&Mann Creations/Japan. I am unsure if these were part of a dresser set, they are rather large, or just matching decorative dishes. The color scheme is a pale yellow with peach and gold accents. The lid of the rectangle box has a darker color like a brown/mauve.The applied decorations with the leaves and berries are surmounted with a lovely little bird finial. I am unsure of the species of the bird, possibly a quail. The lid of the rectangle box has a chip that looks like it was painted to make it less noticable. The large round footed dishes lid has a place that appears to be a factory flaw. It looks like a dollip of slip dropped onto the lip of the lid and dried before it was notices. It looks like it was gilded over with the rest of the edge. It does look original. The measurements of the large round dish is aprox. 6 1/2" tall X6" at widest part. The rectangle box measures aprox. 5 3/4"X3 3/4"X4" tall.
