This exquisite footed, pedestal plate show 3 panels of cherub babies each in a different pose and each of the scenes is outline with fanciful moraige scrolls and vines of gold leaf. As you can see the edges of the plate is deeply undulated with deep ribbons scrolls. There is a flower motif in the center surrounding the attachment that holds the plate onto the spelter pedestal. The pedestal base rests on 3 scrolled feet in keeping with the heavy scrolls, ribbon, medallion designs of the whole thing. It is unsigned but historically it was brought over from Germany by an old neighbor of mine who received as a gift from her grandmother.
It is 10” across the top and stands about 5.5” tall.
The condition is excellent.
