Peary bought the dogs who had drawn his sledge to the Pole, he was owned by the author and ended his life in Labrador with Dr. Grenfell¬ís dogs. An amusing account for the young and old. Jacket is worn, has some losses, and is lightly foxed. Clipped. Boards clean and bright with just some light shelf wear. Gift-inscribed on front free endpaper. Interior with light age-toning, otherwise clean and sound. VG condition.
