Offering this nice old carpenter adze in good clean useable condition. It has been sharpened recently, and has good sharp cutting edge. The bottom is flat, that is, if I lay a straight edge on it, it matches the bottom at the cutting edge. The head is 9.25" long x 5.1" cutting edge width. The head has a name on it, marked "PLUMB". There is light pitting on most all of the head, but the cutting edge area looks good, very sharp, no rust. The handle appears to be a vintage Ash handle, marked "BOB WHITE 631 34IN ADZE", the lettering in blue, the wood has a off-white paint on it, very strong and can be removed from the head due to the fitted wedge. One can push the handle all the way through the socket taper in the adze head which has a reverse taper that cause the handle to tighten during use. The handle fits very tightly in the socket, and is very solid. The handle is 34" long overall. This is a nice tool overall, with plenty of use left in it.
