This is a neat figural pincushion in the shape of a lace up oxford shoe made of silver plated cast iron in the 1930s. The pin cushion shoe measures 4.5 inches long by 1.25 inches wide by 2 inches high. The figural pin cushion has an inset of velvet. The shoe says Made In Japan on the sole and has Japanese characters on the inside of the heel. It is in very good condition with little plate loss but does have a hole in the heel where it looks to me like someone tried to hammer a nail with it! It's a great sewing collectible.
