This pierced tin lantern is a mystery. The front has a lens of 2.75 inch diameter that is etched on the inside and must diffuse light. The back of the lantern has a clear glass lens of 1 inch diameter. It doesn't have a carry ring at top yet has what looks like a small chimney. If this weren't odd enough this is the second one I have had. Bought from 2 different people at different times. (The other one did not have a carry ring either).
