This Louis 20 ( or Louis XX ) side chair was designed by Philippe Starck in 1991 and produced in a very limited number around 1992-1993. It has an aluminum frame and rear legs, and single translucent blue polypropylene body. The Louis 20 was produced by Vitra in the 1990s in only a few opaque colors with matte finish (including black, green, blue, and red). Our translucent blue chair was made commissioned by the singer and producer, Pharrell Williams, and produced in a tiny edition believed to number only ten chairs. This is the only Louis 20 chair we have available. A black Louis 20 resides in the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art ( MOMA ) in New York. Dimensions: 32.8" H X 18.5" W X 21.5" D (83.2 cm H X 47.0 cm W X 54.6 cm D). Condition is good. There are some dings and scuffs, consistent with age. ( za- )
