Persian Qajar Dynasty Glazed Pottery Vase

Unavailable
Antique Persian Qajar Dynasty hexagonal, polychrome glazed pottery vase, circa early 1900's or before, from the R. E. Olds family estate in Lansing, Michigan. The hand painting depicts an outdoor scene with rabbits and birds on three sides, with a stylized floral design on alternating sides. The vase is predominantly blue and green on white, with black outlines, and some gray and pink. This six-sided vase measures about 6.625 inches high, 6.5 inches wide, and 5.75 inches deep, and weighs about 2.5 pounds. It has a dark, dry flat bottom with "IRAN-PERSIA" printed in black on the bottom. The vase is in very good condition for its age. There is some glaze crazing as well as some small bits of excess clay in the glaze, a small corner area where the glaze has flaked off, and an old hairline crack on the top rim. Please refer to the 4 photographs for appearance and condition. Shipping / packaging costs will be $10.00 - $15.00 in the lower 48 states, based upon the zip code of the buyer.
