This charming Pennsylvania Show Towel is dated 1843 and measures 18" x 56". Wonderful example of Americana, Folk Art and Decorative early needlework. The fine needle works typifies the simple design work of the early Pennsylvanian Germans. The show towel is in good condition with no tears, holes or weakened areas. The homespun linen ground work does indicate some discoloration that most probably would lighten with careful cleaning by a textile expert.
