Check out this all original Pennsylvania painted plank-bottom rocker. The salmon colored paint is in remarkable condition. The shapely crest rail is handpainted in a simple floral design with green leaves and gold flowers. The shape of the rocker's back is often referred to as a bootjack design and was popular with early Pennsylvania furniture makers. The seat is a thick plank bottom with pin striping and additional hand painting. The arms are elegantly scrolled with just the right amount of wear and paint loss. The frame and rockers are in excellent condition having no breaks or repairs. The paint colors are still vivid and in great condition. The rocker is extremely comfortable and rocks easily.
