We obtained this very fine American Oak Pedestal from our New England picker. Originally the word "Pedestal" was taken from the French and Italian words that referred to "foot of a stall" and generally applied to the support of a statue or a vase. This pedestal, with heavy quarter-sawn oak flowing all over it, was probably used to display a statue or a vase. With a 12" X 12" top and heavy trim both around the top and the foot, it now can be used for that purpose, to hold a lovely plant, or "just simply as a small table". Enjoy it with pride; it's a very fine piece that has been professionally restored and refinished. This piece can be shipped via UPS or Greyhound. Inquire about costs.
