This lithograph print is titled "Window of the Dammed". It was produced in 1990 as a gift to Russian president Mikhail Gorbachev and was delivered to his office by the womann who was Mrs. America when the Mrs. World pageant was held in Russia. It was eventually returned to Chelko, but it took a year and a half to get it back to the U.S. The artist subesequently gave the painting to a friend, from who's estate I purchased it. The dimentions shown are frame dimentions. The actual painting is 12" x 10.5". Paul Chelko (1935-2007) was an international known artist, born in Great Britin and educated in Scotland and England, with emphasis on the visual arts. He moved to Atlanta Georgia in the 1950's. He is best remembered for his abstract and ultra realism paintings, but he also painted portraits of politicans and entertainers, while celebrities from Oprah Winfrey to Vicent Price snapped up his work. In 1992 his paintings and drawings were featured in the Mick Jagger motion picture FREEJACK.
