Parian ware portrait bust of a serene and regal looking girl. Modeled after an original by the great French sculptor Houdon. Mounted on a cobalt blue porcelain base with gold trim.
Marked on back D�apres Houdon S mark with branches inside base (may be from Gotha, Thuringia, Germany).
Circa late 19th C. to early 20th C. The base may be later.
MEASURES: 7-1/2 x 4-1/2 inches, 13-1/2 inches overall height.
Very Good overall condition. No chips, cracks, dings or repairs found.
