Unusual and highly decorative early 1900's papier mache bowl or tray with hand painted blue and pink flowers set into individual deep creamy tan backdrops with yellow scrolling in each indented scallop of the tray sides. Larger scrolled center background displays a more significant spray. A greenish/gray hue unites the two. Minor wear to the painted edges. Stamp on the back reads "Alcohol Proof Made In Japan patent no. 67978". Wonderful condition,no cracks or chips. Nice accent piece when not in use. Measures 12L X 8.5W X 1.5H.
