Additional photos available.Beautiful Italian Palladio hand carved wood elongated sconce with two candle holders from 19th century Italy. Large tied bow header followed by three gilt metal wheat sheaths and large spread winged carved eagle in wood. The acanthus leaf center base the bird is standing on also wood with acanthus leaf finial below in gilt metal as well as the spiraling rosettes. The center pedestal wood as well as the bottom finial. Signed on the back "Palladio creation hand carved in Italy". The red base paint showing bits beneath the rich gilding. Excellent condition,sure to be stunning in any room. Measures 45.5H X 14W X 9.5D. A metal gilt hanger worked into the notched out carving on back so that it hangs flush with the wall.
