Pair of Scenic Painted Plates

Unavailable
Lovely matched pair of hand painted Victorian scenic cabinet plates. They are both artist signed on the back but I am not able to make out the signature (see photos). Each plate has a blue and gilt border with three separate scenes painted along the rim – an attractive and unusual feature. We believe these are made by Sevres. The buliding on the right is also shown on a plate on page 158 of Hand Painted Porcelain PLates by Richard Rendall and Elise Abrams. A great pair of cabinet plates! Circa: Late 19th century Dimensions: 9.5″Diameter Finish: No chips or cracks. Some minor normal wear on the paint. Price: $2950.00 for the pair More photos available on request
