Mid-20TH Century Mottahedeh Pair of Shrimp Dishes Decorated with a Scene of the White House made Expressly for GARFINKEL'S Department Store in Washington,D.C. Originally this item was made from Chinese Export made for the American Market Circa 1810 with a Lithograph of the White House Circa 1848 in China. Mottahedeh Reproduced this in the 1950's in their factory in Portugal. Mrs. Mottahedeh was the Premier Collector of Chinese Export porcelain. She was originally from New Jersey. She and her husband Raffie passionately collected chinese export porcelain and had the finest collection known. They opened a facroty in Portugal and reproduced some of the finest forms in chinese export porcelain. Mottahedeh Porcelain is very collectible and this is the only pair of this Scene that I have ever see. Perfect Condition. Very Decorative.
