MARK OF GEORG JENSEN, COPENHAGEN, Grape pattern, each on a circular base, the stem spiral-fluted with pendant grapes, no. 263, marked under base. Pair of Georg [George] Jensen sterling silver candlesticks of the grape [pattern # 263] design. These candlesticks measure approx. 5 3/4 in. (14.5 cm.) high; 21 oz. 10 dwt. (669 gr). In fine original condition with no signs of prior restoration, these candlesticks are impressed with authentic "Georg Jensen Denmark Sterling" insignia and marked with the pattern # 263. Georg Jensen is one of the greatest silversmiths of all time. Soon after he opened his workshop in 1904 his unique flatware, jewelry and hollowware became world famous. Today Georg Jensens silver art is just as alive,vibrant, and extremely desirable as when he first designed it.
