A jardinire is a large decorative stand or pot for plants or flowers. These particular jardinires are made in the Sevres-style. Sevres is a fine French porcelain, often elaborately decorated.

These jardinires have been glazed. Underneath the glazing are beautiful hand painted scenes, floral decorations and decorative borders.

The jardinire's base mounts, lion's face handles and rims are made from Ormolu. Ormolu is an imitation of gold and is used to ornament furniture and mouldings. Tooling has been utilised on these ormolu trimmings to create their decorative stamped detailing.

These are extremely well designed and attractive pieces that can only grow in style and worth.
