Pair of Art Deco Macassar and Chrome Console Tables with Goatskin Parchment Tops

Unavailable
Included here is a matching pair of vintage console tables from the early to mid twentieth century, featuring nickel-plated frames, macassar ebony platforms and top surfaces covered in golden-colored parchment. The condition of the metal surfaces and tops are excellent. There is no visible corrosion and very little wear to the top surfaces. Both stands show ebony veneer losses on the left and right edges. (Our client has a professional restorer on site, and we will be happy to discuss a suitable method for repairing these areas.) We have not found any hallmarks and the designer is unknown. Their shape is reminiscient of works by three American designers, Paul Frankl, Warren McArthur and Charles Hardy. They also remind us of designs by Wolfgang Hoffman (son of Josef Hoffmann). These tables reside with our client in midtown Manhattan and may be seen in person by appointment.
