Here is an exceptional pair of solid mahogany twin size beds. They will accommodate standard twin or single size mattress and box springs. These beds are very well made, extremely sturdy and have wonderful detailing. The headboard and footboard have a finely inlaid floral design using mother-of-pearl for the flowers, maple or fruitwood for the leaves and brass for the ribbons and bows. Amazingly, the inlay is intact except for part of one ribbon strip on one headboard. Only if you look very closely will you see the repair or replacement. At the corners of the headboard and footboard are applied carvings of twining vines. All have a large raised and recessed burled mahogany panel in their centers and a row of beading above the panels. The footboard measures 43.5” tall. All rest on casters. Notice the heavily moulded and prominent side rails. The beds are extremely sturdy and stout when set up. Their finishes are original and in excellent condition having a rich color and patina.
