This pair of Greek Revival amphora vases after Ferdinand Levillain (1837-1905) feature monopodium feet and legs with draped heads of cherubs, panels depicting classical warriors on winged horses, and variegated green/grey marble pedestals.  Levillain was a student of Jouffroy and exhibited at Paris Salon  from 1861 and won a silver medal at the Paris Exposition of 1889.  18.5 x 9.25 x 9.25 in, 47 x 24 x 24 cm.
