This exceptionally large, matching pair of cut glass candleholders or mantle lustres is in remarkable condition. The top chimney is designed to come off the base. Inside is a large candle cup. It appears these could have been made into lamps if so chosen, but they have never been electrified. The chimney has a ruby color flashed along its top edge and bottom and then highlighted in gold leaf. The base of the candle holder repeats the use of ruby flashing and gold throughout. Notice the long fancy cut glass prisms encircling the base. The cut work is exquisite. They are in excellent condition. There are some very small spots on the inside of the base collar where the ruby flashing or staining is missing. This is only noticeable upon very close inspection. What a dramatic set to grace your sideboard, mantle or table.
