Pair: Continental Gilt Brass Cherub Candlesticks 19thC
Description: Pair: Antique Continental Mannerist-Revival Gilt Brass Figural Cherub/Putti Form Candlesticks, Late 19th-Early 20th C. This pair of candlesticks feature cherubs, modeled in the mannerist style, lifting flower-form candle holders above their heads. The pieces are unmarked. Dimensions: Both: 7.75in. High, 3in. Wide (base). Total weight: 1lb. 8oz. Condition: One candlestick has evidence of previous repair at the base of the flower-form holder. There is some wear and light scratches throughout the gilt-brass patina of both candlesticks, as well as minor areas of soiling throughout. Otherwise, the pieces are in good condition.
