Pair of two, different size Prattware plates with color transferware bucolic, rural scenes, wide turquoise border and gilt trim. The large plate depicts Cattle and Ruins and is marked on the underside F&R PRATT & CO. 123 FENTON. The smaller one depicts The Waterfall, is unmarked but obviously from the same maker. These bold colored and beautiful plates would be a striking addition to any room or display cabinet. The F&R Pratt & Co. earthenware manufacturer was founded by Felix and Richard Pratt in 1818 in Fenton, Staffordshire until c. 1916 when it changed hands and became part of Cauldon Potteries. The large plate is in very good used condition with minor wear to paint as shown. The small plate has small border losses, paint flaking and a roughly 1" hairline visible on the underside but still displays beautifully. Shipped fully insured with tracking number. Measurements: Large: 8.5" diameter; Small: 7.25" diameter approximately.
