This exquisite pair of carved marble ryhton drinking vessels date from the 19th century and measure 13 x 16 x 6 in (33 x 41 x 15 cm). They are based upon the Roman model by Ponthios dating from the 1st century BC, preserved in the Capitoline in the Palazzo dei Conservatore in Rome.
