This is a lovely pair of Armchairs, commonly called Bergeres by the French, made by the second half of the 19th century from selected and beautifully patinaed walnut. Each with an elegantly sculpted scrolled frame adorably accented with acanthus pattern and supported by graceful cabriole legs. The upholstery is in used condition. Note scratches and dents can be seen due to the age. Circa date 1870. Dimensions 33"high/ 16"seat height/ 26"wide/ 19"deep.
