Packer Speciality Socket Wrench Set
- Item Not Available
This is a very nice clean Automotive ratchet socket set marked "THE RAY SOCKET WRENCH PACKER SPECIALITY CO. NEW YORK CHICAGO" on the inside top cover of the metal case. The set came from an old auto repair shop that had other tools that may have been mixed into this set over the years, but this set appears to be more than complete including two ratchet wrenches, one marked Cornwell, and the other is an extension type with a built in extension and multi-position leverage bar for getting into the hard to reach area. The sockets appear to be complete with both square nut and hex nut sockets included. There is also a non-ratcheting hex wrench with a double-ended hex, and a removeable pin for leverage. There is also a good universal joint extension. The wrenches are all in very good condition, the sockets are very clean and nice except for the 21/32 size has a crack in it, but still could be used. The case is fairly heavy gauge steel, with good hinges and good latch. It has about 40% of the original black paint on the outside and about 60% paint intact on the inside. The case is straight closes nicely and latches well. The has been some rust on the metal case over the years, mostly noted on the top, (shown in the pictures), but the rust is under control now.
Size: The case is 2 x 8 x 13 inches.
A nice very hard to find set!
