Original, circa 1900, cast iron owl form andirons with an illegible foundry mark, but probably Howes of Boston, or Peck, Stow and Wilcox of Connecticut, with glass eyes through which the fire glows and with log holders marked "Owls" with unusual rare log stops, 14-3/4" H.
