OUTRAGEOUS VICTORIAN WALNUT FIRE SCREEN RARE, REMARKABLE, ONE-OF-A-KIND Fire Screen Absolutely the finest American Victorian Fire Screen we have ever seen. It is the epitome of opulence that would make a Powerful Victorian Statement in your setting. Features include a two dimensional peacock represented with REAL bird feathers in a floral scence that is made up of multi colored flowers individually prepared with SILK all enclosed in a glass front walnut frame. The beautiful frame is accented with carved rosebuds and leaves on the top corners and corner scrolls and a string of carved leaves at the bottom. Overall height is an impressive 6 feet 2 inches with an elaborate tripod base and a pierced carved center shield crest, circa 1880's. "A Victorian Decorator's Dream comes true". Presented with the wonderful original finish in excellent condition. The real bird feathers show minor sings of aging ~ just right for being 129 years young.
