Unavailable

This pretty tulip flower vase with four spouts and Persian Iznik decorations in the Saz style measures 11 in (28 cm) and is in good condition.  It was drilled for use as a lamp and each of the spouts have been reattached.

Ths Saz style originated with the sixteenth century Iranian painter, Shah Qulu.  The name comes both from the Ottoman term for the marsh reeds used to craft artist pens and from the enchanted forest of Turkic mythology.  This style is also referred to as Hatayi, from the influence of Chinese styles and motifs, including lotus flowers and dragons.
