Antique, 18th - 19th century, Turkish Ottoman Islamic Sword Yatagan with a characteristic ear shaped hilt. DETAILS: The hilt with horn grips scales mounted in white metal decorated with engraved geometric pattern. The recurved single edged blade struck with the maker's mark. A leather-bound wooden scabbard set with metal mounts.
MEASUREMENTS: The total length with the scabbard: 62,5cm (24 1/2in).
CONDITION: The sword is in good condition.
REFERENSES: The Yatagan sword was very popular not only in Turkey but also in many Balkan and Eastern European countries.
