Otto Pilny Print
- Item Not Available
Otto Pilny 1866-1936, was among a group of artists termed Orientalists, whose paintings were of Arab/Egyptian scenes and subjects. His earlier works were done in deep warm colors. After 1913 these tones were softened with pinks and yellows. This work is rather reminiscent of Maxfield Parrish, but Pilny never achieved Parrish's fame. The print is in excellent condition and resides in its original frame. The frame has suffered some loss of the decorative trim, but is still very presentable and corresponds nicely with the age of the print.
