Original Simon Willard Banjo Circa 1805

Unavailable
Original Simon Willard banjo clock with restored waist and lower glass. Cross banded case, blind mitre joints in lower door [only used by Simon] (See photo). Definite original Simon hands, definite Simon chimney, T-bridge, step-train, fillister head mounts through the plates, original Simon lower door latch [shaft the same as the winding arbor]. Definite Simon beat regulator (see photo). Original carved gilded eagle finial. This is a great example of a Simon Willard. The only hurt (which is a biggie) are the restored waist and lower glasses. These were done some years ago. A Simon with original glasses regularly sells for $100-150,000. This is priced accordingly. Dimensions: 34" in height.
