The Opera de Montreal was founded in 1980 and performs at Montreal's famed Place des Arts. With a variety of both classic and modern operas in the company's repertoire, it has made a serious effort to attract both the traditional opera-going public as well as to cultivate new interest from a younger audience. Their guerilla opera tactics (surprise singers at some of Montreal's outdoor markets and shopping malls) are classic publicity-stunts, and their posters, which we love, are available only through L'Affichiste. We feel they are an affordable, exciting and very modern addition to the L'affichiste collection - they will look wonderful framed in almost any environment.
