Very Good, minor age. Harper's Weekly Civil War Cover August 2, 1862. Black; cream. Paper. This original engraved cover is marked, "Harpers Weekly, Vol. VI.-No. 292, New York, Saturday, August 2, 1862." The cover engraving is titled, "Cutting The Canal Opposite Vicksburg.--Sketched by Mr. Theodore R. Davis." It shows African American men and boys digging the canal. THIS IS AN ORIGINAL WOOD ENGRAVING.
