Very Good, minor age. The "Planter" from Harper's Weekly. Black; cream. Paper. This original engraved page has three sketches. The first is titled, "Robert Smalls, Captain Of The gun-Boat Planter." The second is, "The Gun-Boat Planter, Run Out Of Charleston, S. C., By Robert Smalls, May, 1862." The third is, "Feeding The Negro Children Under Charge Of The Military authorities At Hilton Head, South Carolina." It shows an African American woman spooning out cups of food to the children. It is marked, 372, Harpers Weekly, June 14, 1862.", Civil War
