This is a Cambridge Glass, USA open salt, salt dip or salt cellar made of light green clear glass between 1920-1930s in pattern number 400. The salt is an octagonal tub shape with lugged handles to hold a salt spoon with an 8 pointed star base and cut crossing lines and leaves. The salt measures 1.25 inches high by 1.75 in diameter and is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks and is a lovely color. Salts are also used today for tea bag holders and for sauce dishes.
