This is a vintage ceramic sugar basin or bowl made in Sandland Ware by Lancaster and Sandland, England between 1949-1952 in a Dickens Ware as well as the Cries Of London series. The sugar basin depicts Oliver Twist Asks For More with gold trim on both sides. The sugar basin or bowl is 2.5 inches high by 4 long. The sugar is in very good +++ condition with no chips, cracks and no gold wear. A cute set and a great moment in Dickens fiction.
