This antique lavender and green transfer Staffordshire large rim soup bowl has a Biblical scene in the center of the Sacred History of Joseph and His Brethren, Joseph Meeting with Jacob His Father. Bowl measures 9 1/2" and bears the round green J. B. Cappellemans Jemmapes mark and is also incised with J. B. Cappellemans and the number 1858. There are 2 old cracks that show slightly on the front side - no chips - still a nice collectible antique piece of Staffordshire that displays very nicely.
